Back End Developer 

The Role

The Backend developer’s main responsibility is building the structure of a software application. The candidate must have a great attention to detail and will be involved in trade-offs about how to meet the short and long term business goals as we expand our Engineering team. Alongside this a flare for learning and pushing for the business with a flare of entrepreneurship. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Have commercial experience in building products with web technologies
  • A good grasp of object-orientated programming and design patterns that avoid redundancy, promote developer efficiency, testability and maintainability.
  • A desire to collaborate and innovate with other members of the team
  • Good knowledge and experience of unit testing
  • Experience in developing REST web services and APIs
  • Delivering clean, elegant code including well-structured libraries

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong software engineering experience in programming languages and frameworks 

  • Solid experience in building and deploying large scale secure RESTful APIs

  • Passion for learning and building cutting-edge applications

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Good communication skills

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
